# Litmus Edge (LE)

Litmus Edge is the on-prem runtime that connects to industrial assets (PLCs, sensors, OPC servers, databases, MQTT brokers), normalizes the data, and routes it through analytics, apps, and integrations.

### LE 4.0.x (866 endpoints)

The current series. All modules above are fully documented. New in 4.0 vs 3.16:

- DeviceHub: 342 endpoints (up from 35) - includes 146 Create Device driver examples + 146 Register Types driver references

### LE 3.16.x (437 endpoints)

Older LTS. Same module structure, smaller per-module coverage. Use this version if your fleet is on 3.16; otherwise prefer 4.0.x.
