You can apply a parameterized template to one or more edge devices during activation.

# User Scenario

In a manufacturing setting, you need to configure multiple edge devices for different locations that have similar attributes. For example, DeviceHub Devices are needed for one edge device, and the same DeviceHub Devices are needed for another edge device at a different site. To save time on manually configuring each attribute in every Litmus Edge instance, you can use the Parameterized Template feature in Litmus Edge Manager (LEM). 

This feature allows you to create a template of your edge devices with specific attributes and set the variables that affect devices. Then, you are asked to supply input values to these variables during the activation request confirmation from your LEM.

For this guide, we require two DeviceHub Devices in our template. We will then parameterize our template with three variables:

- **Device\_Name01: **A string variable to change the name of the first DeviceHub Device in Litmus Edge.
- **Device\_Name02: **A string variable to change the name of the second DeviceHub Device in Litmus Edge.
- **Country\_Code:** A string variable to change the Country Code of Litmus Edge.
