use the edge remote module to remotely connect your edge devices to default or networks that you add you can view additional information about the network's status, bandwidth, and peers you can also set the maximum transmission unit (mtu) of the network interface access the following tabs in edge remote networks networks the edge remote networks pane includes network contains a list of edge remote networks including a default network you can add, modify, and remove a network and set a network as default creating and setting a new default network does not affect existing projects it applies only to newly created or empty projects projects contains a list of companies and projects that access the networks you can change the network for a company or project statistics the edge remote network statistics pane includes network view the edge remote network status, number of networks, number of peers, and percentage of networks online networks bandwidth view the amount of data transmitted for the connected networks in mbps network peers view the connected peers which are connected edge devices in another project settings (version 2 11 0 and later) the edge remote settings pane includes mtu configure the maximum transmission unit (mtu) value of the network interface access edge remote networks ui to access the edge software networks ui log in to the litmus edge manager (lem) admin console at the following url https //\[lem ip address] 8446 from the navigation pane, select edge devices the edge devices pane appears by default from edge device's navigation sub pane, select edge remote networks edge device's edge remote networks pane appears the example below applies to litmus edge manager version 2 15 0 and later network from the edge remote networks pane, you can add and manage remote networks and view the company and project for connected edge devices the edge remote networks pane includes two sections the network section contains a list of edge remote networks you can add, modify, and remove a network, set a network as default, and filter the networks list the networks list displays the network name, the network's subnet mask, the capacity of activated devices for the network (litmus edge manager 2 15 0 and later), the type of subnet, the port, which network is default and its state, and an action list where you can perform tasks the projects section contains a list of companies and their associated projects that have access to the networks these are added automatically to the default network when you connect an edge device to a project in litmus edge manager you can view the projects without a subnet mask and filter the project list if you have added multiple networks, you can change the network for a company or project listed here the projects list displays the network name, the network's subnet mask, company and project name of the connected edge device, the number of peers associated with the network, and an action list where you can perform tasks action details \[1] view network name docid\ uektckvq4gjdu0cerwimp \[2] peers qty / max number available for litmus edge manager version 2 15 0 and later review the capacity of activated devices for the work the following information displays peers qty the current number of activated devices for the network max number the maximum number of activated devices allowed percentage the capacity of activated devices remaining for the network represented as a percentage value for example, if the capacity is five activated devices and five devices are activated, the percentage displays 0% capacity remaining \[3] show filter / hide filter search by network name , subnet , or listen port \[4] refresh refreshes network list \[5] add a network docid\ uektckvq4gjdu0cerwimp \[6] action menu edit set default the network assigned to the company and projects does not change when you set a new default network any new edge devices that you connect are automatically assigned to the new default network remove you cannot remove a default network set a different network as default if you want to remove the network \[7] show filter / hide filter search by network name , subnet , company/project , peers qty \[8] refresh refreshes project network list \[9] show projects without subnet / show all projects displays all projects without the subnet \[10] action menu change network you must have at least two networks added to the networks list statistics from the edge remote network statistics pane, you can view information about the remote networks for edge devices the edge remote network statistics pane includes three sections the network section contains a pane indicating network status, the number of networks, the number of peers associated with the edge devices, and the percentage of networks online the networks bandwidth section contains a chart of the bandwidth over time for the connected networks in mbps you can hover over the chart to view the bandwidth for a particular point in time the networks peers section contains a list of connected peers that are connected edge devices in another project you can view the default network for any connected peer click a network name to view more details settings note this feature below is for litmus edge manager version 2 11 0 and later from the settings pane in the edge remote module, you can set and configure the value of the maximum transmission unit (mtu) of the network interface the mtu is the maximum size of a data packet that can be transmitted over a network interface without fragmentation this value configures the litmus edge manager (lem)'s connection to a litmus edge (le) device and can be used to address potential network issues between lem and an le the default value is 1280 bytes and can be set to the following for litmus edge manager version 2 11 0 to 2 14 0, between 1280 bytes to 1500 bytes for litmus edge data manager version 2 16 0 and later, between 576 bytes and 1500 bytes
