Task List and Task Details

Note: The Task List and Task Details feature is available for Litmus Edge Manager 2.7.0 and later.

The Task List and Task Details feature is designed to monitor and track the status of all tasks that can be applied concurrently to multiple Litmus Edge instances. When the tasks are complicated enough and are applied to enough instances, they could require a lot of computing resources and time to complete. Only tasks in the last 24 hours will be automatically displayed.

LEM can only monitor and track the following:

Access Task List and Task Details

To access the task list and task details:

  1. Log in to Litmus Edge Manager.
  2. Select a company. The Projects pane appears.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Click a project from the Project pane. The Dashboard pane appears for the project.
    • Click the Actions icon for a project, and then select View. The Dashboard pane appears for the project.
  4. From the top right corner, do one of the following:
    • Click one of the tasks to access the task's Task Details
    • Click Show all tasks to access the Task List

Task List

The Task List keeps a history of Litmus Edge Manager tasks and their progress. This feature enables you to monitor the progress of these tasks.

Details

[1] Show filter / Hide filter

Toggles the visibility of filter options to organize and narrow down the displayed tasks effectively.

[2] Show task details

Reveals in-depth information about a selected task, including its progress and associated sub-tasks.

[3] Open task page

Navigates to the detailed view of a specific task for more comprehensive insights and management options.

[4] Action menu

Provides a dropdown of actions, including viewing, editing, or deleting task details for streamlined task management.

[5] Select Task Type

Allows users to filter tasks based on category, such as applying templates or managing Marketplace applications.

  • Apply template
  • Software update
  • Launch Marketplace application
  • Start Marketplace application
  • Stop Marketplace application
  • Delete Marketplace application
  • Upgrade Marketplace application
  • Sync Marketplace
  • Refresh Marketplace application cache

[6] Select Task Status

Enables users to filter tasks by their current status, including new, running, successful, or error states.

  • All
  • New
  • Running
  • Success
  • Error

[7] Select Task Created From

Sets the starting date for filtering tasks created from that specific date, with the current date set as the default.

[8] Select Task Created To

Defines the ending date for filtering tasks up to that particular date, allowing users to refine their task search by date range.

Task Details

Task Details provides additional information about a specific task by displaying the task's multiple sub-tasks and their respective details.

Details

[1] View Subtask Log

Displays messages related to specific sub-task activities.

[2] Open task page

Directs to detailed information of the selected task.

[3] Open device details

Shows information about devices associated with the task.

[4] Change to Table/Module view

Switches between table and module presentations of tasks.

Subtask Log

The subtask log displays messages related to a single sub-task. Any log message that appears here will also show up in the System Events tab of Projects events in Events.
