New Features

Description
Asset Management: This release introduces Viewer and Administrator asset management roles for Digital Twin functionality in Litmus Edge. Visibility of edge devices is limited to the companies that you have access to. Assign roles in Litmus Edge Manager Admin Console by navigating to Settings > Users, selecting a user, and scrolling to Asset Management Roles. With the new roles: The Viewer role provides view access to Digital Twins. The Administrator role provides full access to Digital Twins. Now you can define parameters for dynamic attributes in Digital Twin models. In Litmus Edge, users can update parameter values by instance to define the topic for each dynamic attribute. Edge devices now synchronize automatically when a Digital Twin model is updated.
Litmus Edge Manager and Git Integration Now you can connect Litmus Edge Manager with an external version control system (GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps) and store, manage, and track changes to Litmus Edge template files. Configure the integration in the Admin Console in Integration > Git Provider.
AI Chat Agent: Added an AI chat agent that enables asking questions in natural language based on daily digest report data. For example, ask 'How many edge devices are online' or 'What's the current disk usage and available space'.

Enhancements and Improvements

Description
Edge Devices: LEM now displays a warning banner when disk space is low and pauses the ingestion of new messages. Previously, notifications only displayed in LEM Admin Console. LEM now provides better handling and error messaging during image uploads when disk space is low.
Applications: You can now export Marketplace catalogs that belong to specific companies.
Events: System events are now available in the Admin Console. Now you can filter and view both general and project-specific system events. Additional LEM and LE events are now available in Company > Events. This includes System , Licensing , Digital Twins, Cloud Storage , Analytics , Flows , and DataHub event information.
Alerts: Now the name of the trigger that you define displays in the Trigger column in Alerts > Incidents instead of the trigger ID. The helps you easily identify the trigger that caused the incident or alert.
Settings: Now you can bypass strict certificate validation for SMTP servers with a new checkbox in Settings > Email > Email Settings. Enable to specify a mail server as trusted when the server uses a self-signed or custom certificate.
Keycloak: Admin users now display in the Admin Console UI when they are members of a team in Settings > Users > Members.
SSL Certificates: Error handling is improved for invalid root CA certificates. Now an error message displays in Settings > Domain/SSL > SSL settings when adding a valid SSL certificate and a key file with an invalid root CA certificate file under User Defined.
Licenses: Central License Management now displays an Edge Device Status (Online or Offline).
LEM Backups: Backups are now compatible between Litmus Edge Manager virtual machines and Kubernetes deployments. Note that backups must be performed from the same LEM version.
UI: Now the displays company name instead of company code in various locations in the Admin Console.
Application Parameters: You can now view the parameters that were enabled when an edge device was deployed in App Parameters on the Application Details page.
Project Webhook Notifications: Administrators can now set up a webhook notifications when a project is created, updated, or deleted. Setup notifications in Alerts > Triggers in Litmus Edge Manager Admin Console.
Docker Compose: You can now specify a custom network name in your Docker Compose file. If the network exists, existing containers will join it. Otherwise, the network is automatically created to enable communication across mutliple Compose applications.
Linux Alpine: Alpine has been upgraded to version 3.2.1.

Resolved Issues

Description
Events: Fixed issue where a INCIDENT RESOLVED alert was inaccurately triggered when the MQTT connection was lost, which mislead users regarding alert status. Fixed an issue where a 500:Internal Server Error occasionally occurred when accessing Events.
Settings: Now https is enforced for Keycloak admin console redirects. Fixed an issue where the system attempted to authenticate to an STMP server when the Use authentication checkbox was unselected in Settings > Email > Email Settings.
Security: Fixed issues with upstream security vulnerabilities. Fixed access issue with Keycloak admin role for Project Level Teams list. Resolved a CVE-2024-38821 vulnerability.
Cloud Management: Corrected the delete icon that displayed in the action menu in Cloud Management > Types section.
Company/Project List: Fixed issue where the company list did not always automatically refresh after adding new companies. Fixed issue where long company and project names (over 50 characters) always displayed fully in the Admin UI.
Dashboard: Fixed display issue where lengthy company and project names caused horizontal scrolling in the UI on smaller screens.
Asset Management: Fixed display issue where lengthy company and project names in the Digital Twin UI overlapped with edit buttons on the project tile.
Applications: Fixed issue where an error prevented saving of component details after correcting initial input errors in Marketplace. Fixed issue with inaccurate counts of deactivated Edge Devices in total devices in the Application table.
System: Fixed issue where changing and saving SSL settings in the Admin Console could trigger an unknown error Http failure response. Fixed an issue where a Site-Based license server is provisioned to the device. Error occurred when activating LE against LEM with a site license configuration. In this case no clients were created in LEM. Fixed issue where a Failed to check firmware upgrade status. Max retry attempts exceeded error displays in Litmus Edge Manager after upgrading a Litmus Edge device, even when the device was upgraded successfully. Fixed issue where the device name was occasionally excluded from messages and email notifications that indicated that the license has expired for a device.
Performance: Fixed performance issue that occurred when refreshing a Company list that contained a large number of companies. Fixed issue where long company and project names (over 50 characters) in Company list did not display fully.
