Important: For a seamless upgrade experience in upcoming releases, it's crucial to upgrade from version 2.16.4 to 2.22.2 before making any further upgrades. Skipping the initial upgrade to version 2.16.4 and then 2.22.2 may disrupt the upgrade process, and is therefore not recommended.

The Upgrade module allows you to upgrade software versions of Litmus Edge Manager. The Upgrade Components pane provides you with all the tools needed to manage updates and upgrades for the Litmus Edge Manager.

Upgrade Path

When upgrading Litmus Edge Manager, you must include 2.16.4 in your upgrade path.

Follow this upgrade path:

Earlier Litmus Edge Manager version > 2.16.4 > 2.22.2 > Latest Litmus Edge Manager version.

  • Delete the update file.
  • Upgrade to file's version.
    • If you are not on Litmus Edge Manager version 2.16.4, you must upgrade to 2.22.2 or above before making any further upgrades.
    • If you choose to upgrade to Litmus Edge Manager 2.10.2 or earlier, the Marketplace: Catalogs and Applications feature may not operate properly. You will need to upgrade the Docker version to 23.0.5 or later, followed by a Litmus Edge Manager reboot as a workaround.
    • You cannot downgrade to the same or lower version.
    • If during the upgrade, the connection is lost and regained, the upgrade would have to be restarted. It will not automatically continue once the connection is regained.
    • The Upgrade Log button appears after the upgrade process has started.
  • Expand the pane to view detailed information about the new version.
