# Cloud / LEM Activation

Check whether the Litmus Edge is cloud-registered and connected to a Litmus Edge Manager tenant.

| `get_cloud_activation_status` | Check cloud registration and Litmus Edge Manager (LEM) connection status from the edge's perspective. |

## When to use

- **Commissioning:** confirm the edge has been activated against the expected LEM tenant.
- **Troubleshooting:** if LEM-side queries don't see the device, the edge-side activation status is the first thing to check.

This tool reports what the edge itself believes about its activation; it does not query LEM. For the LEM-side view, see [Litmus Edge Manager (LEM)](#).

## Requirements

- `EDGE_URL`, `EDGE_API_CLIENT_ID`, `EDGE_API_CLIENT_SECRET`.
