A Marketplace catalog contains an inventory of available applications that can be installed with a script. The initial Litmus Edge environment includes a Default Public Marketplace catalog.

To review use cases for specific applications, see [Applications Guides](docId\:C3zFKlLmDu0kTtOFbyX90).

# Before You Begin

- You can add a public catalog from Litmus Edge Manager. See *Push Marketplace catalogs to Edge devices* section of [Manage Applications](docId:1cjuL2kjJIQEBN2kVHjp6).
- You can add a private catalog from which you want to deploy the application. See [Add a Marketplace Catalog](docId\:fPB-eCdFSfg9l4Yhlfm2K) for more information.
- For a Private Marketplace Catalog, make sure you create a Docker image and add a Docker registry. See [Create a Docker Image to Deploy to Your Private Repository](docId\:h1HkXqj21rjkmUblGRqVc) and [Add a Registry](docId\:PhZ2RCCK0CDEkdkS40yyO) for more information.
- To access data from the application, it must be running on the same network as the Litmus Edge device.

3. Click an application tile.
The selected application *Launch *dialog box appears.

5. Enter a name and complete any applicable parameters for the application.
 - A name for the incoming Docker container
 - (If applicable) A number for the port. A number cannot be used if it’s already in use by another Docker container.
 - Complete any applicable parameters by entering a respective value. For others, select a value from its respective drop-down list. These parameters will be passed as runtime variables to the respective Docker container.
6. Click **Launch**.
