Moving Window
The Moving Window processors calculate a statistic, such as the average, maximum, or minimum, over a sliding window of a single input's values.
Why use the Moving Window processors
Use one of the Moving Window processors when you need a continuously updating statistic over the most recent values of a single input, rather than a one-time calculation across a fixed range.
How it works
Choose the processor that matches the statistic you need:
- Moving Average calculates the average of the input's values within the window.
- Moving Maximum returns the maximum value within the window.
- Moving Minimum returns the minimum value within the window.
Connect the input to the processor using an events connection, and connect the processor to the output using an events connection as well.
By default, the processor operates on each input's value field. Use Field Name only if your input uses a message-type payload or a field name other than value, for example deviceID or success.

Window Size | The window (in seconds) over which the processor calculates its statistic. |
Field Name | The field the processor operates on. Leave this unchanged unless your input is a message-type payload or uses a field name other than value. |
