An analytics flow moves data from one or more input sources through processing logic to an output destination. Every flow requires at least one input processor, one function processor, and one output processor. For a full overview of how flows work, see [Analytics](docId:8alOe_5_c9uBqJsW0PpCX).

# Building a Flow

You can build a flow in two ways:

- **Add Flow**: Opens the *Create Flow* dialog, which guides you through selecting and configuring input, function, and output processors in sequence and adds connections automatically. Use this to create a complete flow in one pass.
- **Manual**: Add processors individually to the *Instances* canvas and connect them yourself. Use this when you need finer control over the flow structure or are modifying an existing flow.
