Catalog Apps
The Catalog Apps pane of the Applications module shows all the applications deployed from a marketplace catalog only. It excludes applications deployed directly from a docker run command or an uploaded Docker image. By default, when a Litmus Edge is first activated, the list of deployed applications is empty.
Additional applications can be deployed from a Marketplace Catalog. See Marketplace for details.
Additional applications can also be deployed from Litmus Edge Manager. See Deploy an Application to Edge Devices for details. You must activate the Litmus Edge device before you can receive any new catalogs/application or changes to an existing Catalog (such as a new application release) from a Litmus Edge Manager.
Each application is represented by a tile, which provides application status, statistics, and shortcut commands. A colored bar represents the status of the application: green for a Running application and red for all other statuses such as: PullingImageStarted, PullingImage, PullingImageFinished, Starting, LaunchError, Stopping, Stopped, and Exited.
You can filter by name to display fewer application tiles on the Catalog Apps pane. You can also click list view above the filter bar and on the right to view all applications as a list.
Clicking an application tile provides the IP address, port number, memory usage, and the up state of the application. The up state indicates how long an application has been running.
You can also see graphs of the CPU, Memory, Network, and Storage usage. Hovering over the chart provides further details at a particular time point.
Limitation: A catalog Sync Marketplace operation is required if an issue is encountered when deploying a Catalog App. The issue may arise due to the Catalog App's respective Container Registry being unavailable.
To access Catalog Apps:
- Log in to Litmus Edge.
- From the Navigation panel, select Applications. The Dashboard pane appears.
- Click Catalog Apps. The Catalog Apps pane appears.
