Review the following information for setting up and configuring the AB Micro850 (Gen1) driver.

When configuring tags for this driver, you must enter the case-sensitive register name exactly as it is defined in the PLC. See the Free Tags section below to learn more.

To set up and configure this device in Litmus Edge, you will need to do the following:

  • Step 1: Set up and Configure the PLC Device
  • Step 2: Set up the PLC Device in Litmus Edge DeviceHub
  • Step 3: Configure the List of Registers

Step 1: Set up and Configure the PLC Device

If the device is configured for Ethernet access, find its network parameters. Otherwise, follow the steps below.

To configure your device:

  1. Note down the following information and refer to it when needed.

    Device: Allen-Bradley

    Communication I/F: Ethernet. Refer to the following figure.

  2. Launch RSLinx Classic, and connect the device to a PC using USB cable. The device is added to the browser.
  3. Right-click the device and then click Module Configuration.

  4. From Port Configuration, set up the device Ethernet parameters.

  5. Create an AB_ETHP-1 driver. Select an adapter on the same subnet as the device. If you cannot find it in the local subnet, select Remote Subnet.

  6. Launch CCS, Connected Component Workbench.
  7. Click the Discover icon to browse the device.

  8. Double-click the device.
