Review the following information for setting up and configuring the Omron Fins Ethernet (Gen1) driver.

To set up and configure this device in Litmus Edge, you will need to do the following:

  • Step 1: Set up and Configure the PLC Device
  • Step 2: Set up the PLC Device in Litmus Edge DeviceHub
  • Step 3: Configure the List of Registers

Step 1: Set up and Configure the PLC Device

If the device is configured for Ethernet access, find its network parameters. Otherwise, follow the steps below.

To configure your device:

  1. Note down the following information and refer to it as needed.

    Device: Omron CJ2M CPU15

    Communication I/F: Ethernet. Refer to the following figure.

  2. Connect the PC to the device using USB cable.
  3. Launch CX Programmer and create a project.
  4. Click PLC > Work Online.
  5. Open IO Table and Unit Setting and create IO table based on hardware allocation.
  6. Set up communication Parameters for communication module.
  7. Transfer to PLC.
  8. Log in using Ethernet, click Offline, and then click the device name.
  9. Select Ethernet as the network type, click Settings, set up the IP and Port number, and then click PLC > Work Online.
