Simple Window
The Simple Window processor takes a single input value and outputs a moving window of recent values, using a first-in-first-out (FIFO) algorithm.
Why use Simple Window
Use this processor when a downstream processor or model needs the raw window of recent values itself, rather than a single statistic calculated from it, for example, feeding the last several readings into a custom calculation.
How it works
The processor stores incoming values in a window sized to Window Size, using a FIFO algorithm: once the window is full, each new value pushes out the oldest one. Use Order to control whether the output window lists values oldest to newest or newest to oldest, and Value Type to specify the incoming value's data type.
Parameters
Parameter | Details |
|---|---|
Value Type | The data type of the incoming value. |
Order | Whether values appear in the output window ordered oldest to newest, or newest to oldest. |
Window Size | The window in which values are observed. |
Pass Through Value | Determines whether the processor's output is the windowed values or the original unchanged input value. |
