Tag Upload through CSV Issues

Depending on the region setting in Windows, you may have issues uploading tags with a CSV file because of the delimiter used. If CSV files are saved by using a semicolon as the delimiter instead of a comma, the tags won't be uploaded successfully. Refer to the table below.

Steps to resolve

header field deviceId not exists

The CSV file may use semicolons as the delimiter instead of commas.

  1. In Microsoft Excel, navigate to File > Options > Advanced.
  2. Unselect the checkbox for Use system separators.
  3. In the Decimal separator field, enter a period (.).
  4. In the Thousands separator field, enter a comma (,).
