Yokogawa DX Ethernet
Review the following information for setting up and configuring the Yokogawa DX Ethernet driver. This driver connects to Yokogawa DX series data recorders and MV series paperless recorders over Ethernet TCP and supports reading channel data, alarm states, and configuration properties by polling.
How to Configure the Device
To set up and configure this device in Litmus Edge, you will need to do the following:
- Step 1: Set up and configure the device
- Step 2: Set up the device in Litmus Edge DeviceHub
- Step 3: Configure the list of registers
Step 1: Set up and configure the device
- Ensure the DX recorder is connected to the same network as your Litmus Edge device.
- On the recorder, navigate to the Ethernet communication settings and note the IP Address and Port configured for Ethernet communication.
- If user authentication is configured on the recorder, note the registered Username and Password. If no registered user is configured, the default credentials are admin / 0.
- Verify that the recorder's Ethernet port is reachable from the Litmus Edge host (no firewall blocking the configured port).
Step 2: Set up the device in Litmus Edge DeviceHub
Configure the following parameters when you connect a device with this driver. Update default values to match the specific setup of your device.
Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
Type | Yokogawa |
Driver | Yokogawa DX Ethernet |
Network Address | IP address of the DX recorder |
Network Port | Port configured on the recorder for Ethernet communication |
Username | Username configured on the recorder. If no registered user is configured, use admin. |
Password | Password for the configured user. A password value is always required. The default is 0. |
Step 3: Configure the List of Registers
When you add a tag to the connected device, see the following register table and tag parameters sections.
Register Table
Note: Each register name corresponds to a specific data type available per channel on the recorder. When adding a tag, select the register name that matches the data you want to read from the channel.
