This section will provide instructions on how to prepare a Litmus Edge Manager to communicate with a Prometheus Alert Manager.

A Litmus Edge Manager is available and configured.

The guide on how to prepare Litmus Edge Manager to communicate with a Prometheus Alert Manager can be viewed in the Litmus Edge Manager Prometheus documentation.

Note: For this guide only Step 3 and Step 5 are required followed by saving the change.

To test the connection, press the Test Alert Manager button.

This will verify the version of the Prometheus Alert Manager if it can be reached.

Note: This will NOT send a test Alert.

The Alerts which will be send to the Prometheus Alert Manager are the Alerts which also are displayed in the LEM Dashboard.

Custom alerts can be defined through the Alerts UI of Litmus Edge Manager.

This section will provide instructions on how to connect the Prometheus Alert Manager to Litmus Edge Manager.

A deployment of Prometheus Alert Manager is available.

A Prometheus Alert Manager does not require any dedicated steps to be connected to an alert data source such as Litmus Edge Manager using the API based connection.

It is only required to follow the steps in the chapter Guide to prepare Litmus Edge Manager as Prometheus Endpoint.
