Namespaces

Namespaces allow you to group topics logically, such as by area, line, or machine. You can subscribe to namespaces to receive updates on all subtopics under them.

This is especially useful when using Marketplace applications or custom flows that publish to dynamic or unknown topics (topic names are generated programmatically). By adding the relevant namespace, the Topic Registry will track these topics.

To manage namespaces, click Add Namespace on the Marketplace or Flows page.

In the Add Namespace dialog, enter the namespace you want to subscribe to. For instance, to track topics related to a specific device, add its namespace (e.g., devicehub.alias.devicename or devicehub.raw.deviceId) to receive data updates on all associated subtopics.

Once added, the Topic Registry will begin tracking all subtopics under it.
