Explore UNS (Unified Namespace) lets you configure and manage a standardized UNS hierarchy. The hierarchy represents your enterprise as levels of classes, such as **Enterprise**, **Site**, **Area**, and **Production Unit**. Each level reflects your physical or data structure to standardize how data flows across the organization. For example:

This structure:

- Decouples how data is gathered from how it is consumed.
- Lets other users access unified data without understanding sensor or device-level details.

## How Explore UNS builds the hierarchy

The system parses the metadata of incoming messages and generates a UNS structure that displays the relationships between data elements as a tree. Topics are categorized into nodes that you accept and reject.

Use the tree view to:

- Monitor UNS implementation progress
- Identify and correct data structure issues
- Confirm consistency in UNS categorization

## Access Explore UNS UI

Select **Explore UNS** from the left navigation.

The **Explore UNS **section contains the following tabs:

- **Namespace:** Displays standardized hierarchy view based on your classification rules.
- **Raw:** Shows the raw, unprocessed data structure exactly as received before classification.
