Edge Software Update
The Edge Software module provides you with all the tools needed to manage updates and upgrades of the edge devices managed by Litmus Edge Manager. You can upload the .upd file onto the admin console once and it can be used to upgrade edge devices using the Litmus Edge Manager Admin Console Software update options. All the images that you load onto the admin console are available for edge device upgrades.
You can create groups of edge devices and update them at a specific time or immediately using the upgrade options. You can ensure that edge devices are running on the latest version, manage the disk space used, and view a history of updates.
The Software Images list shows:
- Product: The product name
- File Name: The name of the .upd file
- Size: The file size for the .upd file
- Version: The version of the product

When using the Litmus Edge Manager Admin Console with Firefox to upload a software image, an error can occur due to a problem with the way Firefox manages certificates.
Litmus Edge Manager uses a self-signed Certificate. This prompts the browser to display an error message. Follow the browser guidelines for how to bypass a self-signed security error message.
To resolve this issue, the certificate for the Minio application, which manages the uploaded images, must be accepted.
To accept the certificate for the port 8445:
- From the Firefox web browser, enter the IP address and port 8445 (for example, https://192.162.2.18:8445) in the URL bar, and then press ENTER.
- Click Advanced
- Click Accept the Risk and Continue.
- Close the browser tab. No login is required.
