Metrics

3min

Once an edge device begins communicating with Litmus Edge Manager, the metrics of your edge device become available in the Metrics tab.

The tab is divided into two sections:

  • DeviceHub - lists all devices connected to the edge device; shows their status and the number of tags
  • Integration - lists integration connectors defined for the edge device; shows their status, rate, and buffer size

Refer to the following metrics you can refer to on the Litmus Edge Manager User UI's Edge Devices Metrics tab.

Additional Metrics

You can use additional metrics sources to set up an alert based on metrics collected by Litmus Edge Manager. The alert can trigger when a variable reaches a specific value or a set/interval of values. Only one metrics rule can be created per alert. See Set Up Alert Triggers for more.

Note: You can set up alert triggers for different metrics of your edge devices in the Triggers section in the Alerts module. Review the Alerts Guides for setting up alert triggers.

Refer to the following table for more information on additional metrics available for alerts template:

Metrics Name

Description / Purpose

Parameters

Integration

Connector disk buffer

Monitor Integration Connector disk buffer, which is used when the connector’s throughput is insufficient to handle all defined tags coming from Edge devices.

  • Target Value in MB
  • Alert Delay in seconds

Integration

Connector online status

Detect unplanned Integration Connector disconnections.

  • Alert Delay in seconds
