Deprecation Policy
What's documented vs what's supported
The API portal is the canonical list of actively-supported APIs. If an endpoint is not in the portal, treat it as unsupported - it may exist in older builds but is not guaranteed to keep working.
Deprecation timeline
- Deprecation notice is posted before removal, typically 6 months in advance.
- Deprecated endpoints continue to function during the notice period.
- After removal, calls return 410 Gone or 404 Not Found depending on the module.
Recommendation
- Pin to a specific product / API version in your client.
- Subscribe to release notes for the products you depend on.
- For automation that runs unattended, set up a smoke test that exercises your critical endpoints against new edge / LEM releases before rolling them out.
