Manual Deployment from the Azure Marketplace

12min

You can manually deploy Litmus Edge Manager from the Azure Marketplace.

Caution: The Azure subscription ID must be added to an internal Litmus list before Litmus Edge Manager can appear in the Azure Marketplace. Please contact your Litmus representative to add the subscription ID.

Important for Cloud Deployment:

Before activating the license, ensure all hardware / VM configuration steps that can modify the MAC address (add/replace a Network Interface Controller (NIC) card) are finalized.

The license Host ID depends on the Media Access Control (MAC) address for the device. The MAC address identifies the devices on a network. Changing the MAC address will invalidate the license.

Before You Begin

  • Obtain an Azure account. See the Microsoft Azure portal.
  • From Azure, create an IoT Hub and add a VM deployment to the Azure Marketplace.
  • From Azure, create a SSH Public Key.

To manually deploy Litmus Edge Manager using Azure Marketplace, you will need to do the following.

  • Step 1: Select the Deployment Application
  • Step 2: Create a Virtual Machine
  • Step 3: Configure the Resource Group
  • Step 4: Initialize and Log in to the Virtual Machine
  • Step 5: Configure the Domain Name Settings
  • Step 6: Configure the SSL Settings
  • Step 7: Log in to Litmus Edge Manager (LEM) UI
  • Step 8: Verify Trial License and Register a Litmus Edge Manager License
