This page summarizes notable additions in recent versions of the Litmus MCP server.
Web UI
- Built-in chat interface on port 9000, served from the same Docker image as the MCP server.
- First-run setup screen captures LLM API keys and fetches live model catalogs from Anthropic and OpenAI.
- Two-panel model selector (provider pills + scrollable model list) on /update-env.
- Stop button mid-stream; tool-call badges in the chat transcript; markdown rendering.
Multi-Instance Litmus Edge
- Register multiple edges in .env under EDGE_INSTANCE_{i}_* keys.
- ACTIVE_EDGE_INSTANCE tracks the active one; canonical EDGE_URL / EDGE_API_CLIENT_ID / EDGE_API_CLIENT_SECRET mirror it.
- New endpoints: /api/edge-instances, /api/add-edge-instance, /api/remove-edge-instance, /api/switch-edge-instance, /api/edge-health?index=N.
- Instance switcher pill in the chat header; one status card per instance on the Health page.
MCP Resources
- New litmus://docs/<section> URIs that fetch live content from docs.litmus.io on demand.
- Exposed via @mcp.list_resources() / @mcp.read_resource() handlers in src/server.py.
- Defined in src/tools/resource_tools.py.
Tool surface (current)
- 57 tools across 11 categories.
- Per-file TOOLS = [...] registry in each src/tools/*.py; server.py concatenates and dispatches by name.
- LEM and LEM Bridge tool families added.
Persistent Configuration
- Mount /opt/litmus-mcp/.env over /app/.env to survive container replacement.
- Docker Compose example included.
Transport
- SSE on :8000 (default).
- STDIO opt-in via ENABLE_STDIO=true for Claude Desktop and other local clients.
