Optional Settings Wizard

drivers can have optional settings to change certain behaviours like publishing behaviour or adding a watchdog to assist with the definition of these optional settings and ensure that the json object is correctly formatted and includes all required entries, the device management tool provides a optional settings wizard access the status register wizard notes to access the optional settings wizard it is required that the entry in column optional settings is not empty > the tool should automatically set the default optional settigns json object in this case a device name is defined a driver name is selected a driver group name is selected select the respective cell in column optional settings for the device you want to change optional settings if all conditions are met, the optional settings wizard button is shown in the help section of the litmusconfiguration ribbon open the optional settings wizard by pressing the optional settings wizard button the optional settings wizard will show edit a optional settings select the optional setting you want to edit to open its edit screen edit the value and press the modify button notes if not both name and value are provided, the modify button will remain grayed out and the property can not be saved the wizard also performs a verification for each entry and will show any violation in red in this case the modify button will also be grayed out to prevent the saving of any invalid optional settings notes some drivers can reqire additional optional settings based on what is select example the users changes the watchdog setting to true which adds additional settings which the user can set save the optional settings to save all the optional settings as a new optional settings json object, press the save button this will create the correctly formatted optional settings json object and store it in column optional settings for the device important this will overwrite the current value in column o ptional settings cancel the optional settings wizard if a user decides to not save the current optional settings wizard configuration, they can press the cancel button notes this will not overwrite the current value in column o ptional settings
