Update Instance(s) with new Version of their Model
The Tool allows the User to Update Instances of a Model if they are not running the same version of the Model.
Check if Instances need to be updated
If a Instances of a Model are not up to date can be checked with Check Update Status Only button from the Ribbon.
If any of the Models shows in the column ModelID & Instance Update Status:
- blue = Some of the Instances of the Model are up to date
- red = None of the Instances of the Model are up to date
The user can update the Instances for these Models.
Open the Update Instance(s) Wizard
To update Instances press the Update Instance(s) button from the Ribbon.
Notes:
To open the Update Instances(s) Wizard, the tool will verify that it is not in the Status:
- Offline
- DigitalTwin not responding
- No LE Set
- No API Key
If the Tool found to be in one of these states, a message is displayed.
Update Instances when connected to One LE
When the the tool is set Connect To is set to One LE.
The tool will show all Models and their Instances which are not running the same version as well as the respective Versions they run.
Update Instances when connected to MultipleLE
When the the tool is set Connect To is set to Multiple LE.
The tool requires to select the LE Device IP for where the User wants to perform potential Updates.
Select the Litmus Edge to work with from the Drop Down.
Press the TAB key to verify the selection.
The tool will show all Models and their Instances which are not running the same version as well as the respective Versions they run.
Updating Instance(s)
Selecting all Instances
To select all Instances for all Models for Update, check the Checkbox of the Header Row.
Unselecting all Instances
To unselect all Instances for all Model for Update, uncheck the Checkbox of the Header Row.
Select individual Instances
To select individual Instances for Update, check their respective Row or Checkbox.
Unselect individual Instances
To unselect individual Instances for Update, uncheck their respective Checkbox or Row.
Update Instances
If at least one Instance has been selected from the list, the Update button will change to green and an Update can be initiated. To initiate an Update press the green Update button.
If no Instance(s) have been selected, the Update button will be greyed out.
Notes:
The Update wizard will show how many devices have been selected in the left lower corner.
After an Update finished
Once all the selected Instances have been updated, the user is informed about the result and has two further options:
- Close the Wizard. This will end the Update and the user can proceed with their desired actions on the sheet.
